cmpaction

Configuration for compression action resource.

Properties

Name Data Type Permissions Description
name Read-write Name of the compression action. Must begin with an ASCII alphabetic or underscore (_) character, and must contain only ASCII alphanumeric, underscore, hash (#), period (.), space, colon (:), at (@), equals (=), and hyphen (-) characters. Can be changed after the action is added. The following requirement applies only to the Citrix ADC CLI If the name includes one or more spaces, enclose the name in double or single quotation marks (for example, “my cmp action” or ‘my cmp action’). Minimum length = 1
cmptype Read-write Type of compression performed by this action. Available settings function as follows
  • COMPRESS - Apply GZIP or DEFLATE compression to the response, depending on the request header. Prefer GZIP.
  • GZIP - Apply GZIP compression.
  • DEFLATE - Apply DEFLATE compression.
  • NOCOMPRESS - Do not compress the response if the request matches a policy that uses this action. Possible values = compress, gzip, deflate, nocompress
  • addvaryheader Read-write Control insertion of the Vary header in HTTP responses compressed by Citrix ADC. Intermediate caches store different versions of the response for different values of the headers present in the Vary response header.

    Default value: GLOBAL

Possible values = GLOBAL, DISABLED, ENABLED
varyheadervalue Read-write The value of the HTTP Vary header for compressed responses.

    Minimum length = 1
deltatype Read-write The type of delta action (if delta type compression action is defined).

    Default value: PERURL

    Possible values = PERURL, PERPOLICY
newname Read-write New name for the compression action. Must begin with an ASCII alphabetic or underscore (_) character, and must contain only ASCII alphanumeric, underscore, hash (#), period (.), space, colon (:), at (@), equals (=), and hyphen (-) characters. Choose a name that can be correlated with the function that the action performs. The following requirement applies only to the Citrix ADC CLI If the name includes one or more spaces, enclose the name in double or single quotation marks (for example, “my cmp action” or ‘my cmp action’). Minimum length = 1
builtin <String[]> Read-only Flag to determine whether compression is default or not.

Possible values = MODIFIABLE, DELETABLE, IMMUTABLE, PARTITION_ALL
feature Read-only The feature to be checked while applying this config.
isdefault Read-only A value of true is returned if it is a default policy.
    __count Read-only count parameter

    • DELETE
    • GET (ALL)
    • GET
    • COUNT
    • UPDATE
    • UNSET
    • RENAME

Some options that you can use for each operations:

    • Getting warnings in response: NITRO allows you to get warnings in an operation by specifying the 'warning' query parameter as 'yes'. For example, to get warnings while connecting to the NetScaler appliance, the URL is as follows:

      http:// <netscaler-ip-address> /nitro/v1/config/login?warning=yes

If any, the warnings are displayed in the response payload with the HTTP code '209 X-NITRO-WARNING'.

    • Authenticated access for individual NITRO operations: NITRO allows you to logon to the NetScaler appliance to perform individual operations. You can use this option instead of creating a NITRO session (using the login object) and then using that session to perform all operations,

To do this, you must specify the username and password in the request header of the NITRO request as follows:

      X-NITRO-USER: <username>

      X-NITRO-PASS: <password>

Note: In such cases, make sure that the request header DOES not include the following:

      Cookie:NITRO_AUTH_TOKEN= <tokenvalue>

*Note: * Mandatory parameters are marked in red and placeholder content is marked in green
