dnskey

Configuration for dns key resource.

Properties

Name Data Type Permissions Description
keyname Read-write Name of the public-private key pair to publish in the zone.

Minimum length = 1
publickey Read-write File name of the public key.
privatekey Read-write File name of the private key.
expires Read-write Time period for which to consider the key valid, after the key is used to sign a zone.

Default value: 120

Minimum value = 1

Maximum value = 32767
units1 Read-write Units for the expiry period.

Default value: DAYS

Possible values = MINUTES, HOURS, DAYS
notificationperiod Read-write Time at which to generate notification of key expiration, specified as number of days, hours, or minutes before expiry. Must be less than the expiry period. The notification is an SNMP trap sent to an SNMP manager. To enable the appliance to send the trap, enable the DNSKEY-EXPIRY SNMP alarm.

In case autorollover option is enabled, rollover for successor key will be intiated at this time. No notification trap will be sent.

Default value: 7

Minimum value = 1

Maximum value = 32767
units2 Read-write Units for the notification period.

Default value: DAYS

Possible values = MINUTES, HOURS, DAYS
ttl Read-write Time to Live (TTL), in seconds, for the DNSKEY resource record created in the zone. TTL is the time for which the record must be cached by the DNS proxies. If the TTL is not specified, either the DNS zone’s minimum TTL or the default value of 3600 is used.

Default value: 3600

Minimum value = 0

Maximum value = 2147483647
password Read-write Passphrase for reading the encrypted public/private DNS keys.

Minimum length = 1
autorollover Read-write Flag to enable/disable key rollover automatically. Note
  • Key name will be appended with _AR1 for successor key. For e.g. current key=k1, successor key=k1_AR1.
  • Key name can be truncated if current name length is more than 58 bytes to accomodate the suffix. Default value: DISABLED Possible values = ENABLED, DISABLED
  • rollovermethod Read-write Method used for automatic rollover.

    * Key type: ZSK, Method: PrePublication or DoubleSignature.

    * Key type: KSK, Method: DoubleRRSet.

Possible values = PrePublication, DoubleSignature, DoubleRRSet
revoke Read-write Revoke the key. Note: This operation is non-reversible.
zonename Read-write Name of the zone for which to create a key.

    Minimum length = 1
keytype Read-write Type of key to create.

    Default value: ZSK

Possible values = KSK, KeySigningKey, ZSK, ZoneSigningKey
algorithm Read-write Algorithm to generate the key.

    Default value: NS_DNSKEYALGO_RSASHA1

    Possible values = RSASHA1, RSASHA256, RSASHA512
keysize Read-write Size of the key, in bits.

    Default value: 512

    Minimum value = 1

    Maximum value = 4096
filenameprefix Read-write Common prefix for the names of the generated public and private key files and the Delegation Signer (DS) resource record. During key generation, the .key, .private, and .ds suffixes are appended automatically to the file name prefix to produce the names of the public key, the private key, and the DS record, respectively.

    Minimum length = 1

    Maximum length = 55
src Read-write URL (protocol, host, path, and file name) from where the DNS key file will be imported. NOTE: The import fails if the object to be imported is on an HTTPS server that requires client certificate authentication for access. This is a mandatory argument.

    Minimum length = 1

    Maximum length = 2047
    state Read-only Current key state.

    Default value: Created

Possible values = Created, Activated, Deactivated, Revoked
    type Read-only Key type.

    Default value: ZSK

Possible values = KSK, KeySigningKey, ZSK, ZoneSigningKey
    tag Read-only Key tag/ID.

    Default value: 0
    createtimestr Read-only Key creation time.

    Default value: 0
    activationtimestr Read-only Key activation time.

    Default value: 0
    expirytimestr Read-only Key expiry time.

    Default value: 0
deletiontimestr Read-only Key deletion time if autorollover option is enabled.

    Default value: 0
rolloverfailrc Read-only Reason code in case rollover event failed.

    Default value: 0
    __count Read-only count parameter

Some options that you can use for each operations:

    • Getting warnings in response: NITRO allows you to get warnings in an operation by specifying the 'warning' query parameter as 'yes'. For example, to get warnings while connecting to the NetScaler appliance, the URL is as follows:

      http:// <netscaler-ip-address> /nitro/v1/config/login?warning=yes

If any, the warnings are displayed in the response payload with the HTTP code '209 X-NITRO-WARNING'.

    • Authenticated access for individual NITRO operations: NITRO allows you to logon to the NetScaler appliance to perform individual operations. You can use this option instead of creating a NITRO session (using the login object) and then using that session to perform all operations,

To do this, you must specify the username and password in the request header of the NITRO request as follows:

      X-NITRO-USER: <username>

      X-NITRO-PASS: <password>

Note: In such cases, make sure that the request header DOES not include the following:

      Cookie:NITRO_AUTH_TOKEN= <tokenvalue>

*Note: * Mandatory parameters are marked in red and placeholder content is marked in green
